Logiciels comptables pour PME belges : Yuki vs. Exact vs. WinBooks

Choosing accounting software in Belgium isn't just about features — it's about compliance. Your platform must handle Belgian VAT declarations (Intervat), produce the correct chart of accounts (PCMN/MAR), and ideally sync with your bank (CodaBox/Isabel). Here's how the three market leaders stack up.

Yuki — The Automation Champion

Backed by Visma, Yuki is a fully cloud-native platform built around document automation. You upload invoices and receipts; Yuki's AI-powered OCR extracts the data, categorises it, and learns from your corrections.

Strengths: Best-in-class document recognition, self-learning algorithms, strong bank sync (CodaBox, Isabel), excellent for accounting firms managing multiple client dossiers, Peppol-compatible for e-invoicing, multi-currency support.

Weaknesses: Limited ERP functionality (no native CRM, inventory, or HR modules), pricing can scale quickly with additional dossiers, less suitable if you want an all-in-one business management platform.

Pricing: Subscription per company/dossier, typically €50–€150/month depending on features and transaction volume.

Best for: SMEs who want minimal manual bookkeeping and have an accountant managing the accounting function. Also ideal for accounting firms managing multiple clients.

Exact Online — The ERP Powerhouse

Exact Online is a fully cloud-based platform that goes well beyond accounting into CRM, HR, inventory, project management, and manufacturing. It's the closest thing to a full ERP for Belgian SMEs.

Strengths: True all-in-one cloud platform (accounting + CRM + inventory + HR + projects), strong bank sync, Peppol e-invoicing, real-time dashboards and reporting, multi-company support, modular growth (start with accounting, add modules as you grow), mobile app, strong Belgian localisation.

Weaknesses: Steeper learning curve than Yuki, higher starting price, some modules (advanced manufacturing) are overkill for service-based SMEs, the breadth of features can feel overwhelming for a solo freelancer.

Pricing: Tiered plans from ~€60/month (Essential) to ~€200+/month (Professional/Premium), with add-on modules.

Best for: Growing SMEs (5–100+ employees) who want one platform for accounting + operations. Particularly strong for product-based businesses needing inventory management alongside accounting.

WinBooks — The Legacy Incumbent

WinBooks has the longest track record in Belgian accounting. Historically desktop-based, it was acquired by Exact and now offers a cloud version. It remains deeply embedded in many traditional Belgian accounting practices.

Strengths: Deepest Belgian localisation historically, trusted by generations of Belgian accountants, comprehensive chart of accounts and reporting, strong for pure compliance-focused accounting.

Weaknesses: Legacy desktop architecture (cloud version is less mature), no native OCR for invoice scanning, limited automation compared to Yuki, poor connectivity to other business tools, no mobile app, complex multi-company management, lagging on Peppol and modern e-invoicing standards. Increasingly seen as a legacy solution — many Belgian SMEs are migrating away (often to Exact Online or Odoo).

Pricing: License-based (desktop) + annual maintenance fees. Cloud version pricing is less transparent.

Best for: Companies whose accountant is deeply committed to WinBooks (but consider whether migration would serve you better).
